Genchi Genbutsu
“Genchi Genbutsu” is indicated as meaning “real location, real thing”, or in other words, be there where the action you intend to influence happens.
Go, See, Listen, and Understand are the steps indicated to perform a good Genchi Genbutsu. Yet, I believe there is more to it and some other steps are needed in between.
“Stay” I believe is overlooked, as with some things take some time to happen, to observe. The “smell of the place” might not be captured when everything is happening on fast-forward.
Of course, in the original texts I am pretty sure that Go/See/Listen/Understand were steps mentioned with their full meaning.
Go, as in be there, really be there, present and on site, in the relevant moments.
See, as in see unbiased, observe with a fully open mind, see in the whole spectrum of light or even beyons
Listen, as in listen without judging, listen to understand, listen actively.
Understand, as in not judging, not confirming.
Who does those actions with their full meaning, maybe they can skip “stay”…
I wish you all that you could act with full intent more often, I wish it also for me, and I am guilty of this.
