My Test Automation Portfolio Series: Unravel the maze with me
If you are a QA who reads blogs, I bet you have come across a large number of test automation portfolio articles and proof of concepts written by our peers from the QA community. I have to admit I came across many and not just that — I tried to start working on it a couple of years back. I somehow couldn’t continue and reach my target line due to balance of time between work, kids and what not… Long story short, I am going to make a fresh start…. I am very keen to write about this and engage with fellow QA peers through my articles. This way I get to widen my knowledge through constructive feedback from readers, strengthen my engagement with likeminded professionals and lastly a little bit of flaunting on your CV is not a crime :)
Strategy : A plan in place
I am planning to showcase the tools I am currently comfortable to start working on instantly. This way I can gain the initial momentum and confidence to start the long journey. Speaking of journey, this portfolio series will be a slow, meaningful and long journey for me. I am going to take this in an enjoyable pace and write all about the intricacies I learn during this journey. This way I can be of some help to my fellow peers who are in the same situation as me.
A humble invite : World is my Oyster
Through this article, I would like to invite my QA connections to follow my publication to walk with me through my test automation portfolio journey. I am looking to start on the below frameworks in order of priority and will be adding to it gradually.
- Cypress Javascript on its own
- Cypress with BDD integration
- Postman with GitHub integration
- Playwright with Typescript
- Selenium Java BDD
Thanks in advance for following my stories. Looking forward to engage with you all soon..
