Questions!
Rashid was a brilliant guy who worked like a charm in the office. He was medium heighted person with short black hair. Usually dressed in shirts and trousers with well combed hair, he used to keep himself up-to-date with the current affairs and the trending news in the market.
He had an awesome quality of not saying “No” to anyone who came to him for help. It happened one afternoon that Rita approached him and asked him for help with tallying the Balance Sheet. Though Rashid had very little experience in terms of Accountancy, however he began scratching his head and offered to help Rita in his work.
He started making faces looking at the half prepared Balance sheet by Rita and began asking stupid questions, however out of those many illogical questions he asked there was one question that he asked about Rent, receipts and taxes, to which Rita exclaimed and jumped with joy!!
Being surprised with her behavior, Rashid asked curiously, “What happened? Why are you jumping with joy?”
Rita answered, “I missed taking the Rent income into consideration while preparing Profit and Loss Account. I have also added the tax value to the wrong side of the Balance Sheet!! Thank you Rashid for helping me out! I would not have been able to resolve this without your help!!!”
“Oh, Ok! Pleasure is all mine!!” said Rashid in a half confused state. He was still scratching his head as he was just a clerk in the office and little he knew about Accountancy, but he had solved Rita’s problem related to the Balance Sheet.
Many of us, to avoid questions, do not communicate well with the co-workers. This in turn does not create good team bonding and results in creating a bad atmosphere in the office.
In order to function as a team, it is necessary to talk to your team. It is not necessary that we talk only in terms of work, we can also talk about current affairs, about learning new things, asking them guidelines about professional career growth and much more.
Believe me it will help a lot and in turn will benefit you!
